Stefanie Lapp, Coach

Stef Lapp, CrossFit Level 1 Coach

I graduated with a Bachelors of Arts with a double major in Environmental Studies and Economics from University of Richmond in 2010.  While at UR I was a member of the track and field and diving teams. On the track I competed in multi-events, primarily sprinting and throwing.  At the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Championships I was second-team all conference in 2006 on the 4×100 and was a finalist in the hammer throw at the 2007 championships.  As an athlete I earned recognition for academic achievement eight semesters.  After I graduated I worked as a English teaching assistant for two years first in Jonzac and then in Montmorillon, France.  Upon returning to the States, I attended University of Virginia and received a Masters of Teaching in August 2014.  I currently teach French and am also certified to teach English as a Second Language.  I started CrossFit in March 2013, but took about a year off while finishing my masters and started again in August 2014.  I started CrossFit because I missed sports and being part of a community. Now CrossFit pushes me to be my best everyday and makes me a better teacher.  What I learn through CrossFit I carryover to the classroom.  CrossFit reminds me that patience, practice, and drive are necessary to learn and improve and a supportive community guides us to accomplishing goals.

Amanda Hilditch, Coach

My journey with fitness started at a young age, playing soccer and doing anything I could to stay active. Throughout high school I played soccer and coached U9-U3 teams, this was my first taste of coaching and I knew I was addicted. After putting my nutrition and fitness on the back burner throughout college, I decided that it was time to get myself into gear. The next day I signed up for my first Crossfit class and ever since then I have been hooked.  I have always had a passion for coaching and making people better, so what better way to incorporate that than to coach Crossfit! Through this journey I have developed a deep passion and interest in nutrition and believe healthy eating is the cornerstone to any healthy lifestyle. I am so excited to share my passion with the sport and nutrition at Crossfit Addict.
